Occupational Health Nurse 40 hours per week (fulltime) for our Nelson office
Precious People Occupational Health Services are a locally owned Nelson and Marlborough Occupational Health business and have been for over 20 years. We are a leading provider of workplace health, safety and wellness solutions for our regions workforce, our services cover a broad range of workplace health, safety and wellness areas. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated occupational health nurse to be part of our Marlborough team. We are a family owned business with our head office in Nelson. We have a 40 hour per week position available to the right person, this position will have the opportunity for additional hours if the applicant and Precious People OHS Ltd requires.
The Role: This position will provide the successful applicant with an interesting and varied role that will be based 100% in the private sector.
The nurse’s key responsibilities include:
•Drugs and alcohol testing
•Workplace health monitoring, including spirometry and audiometry
•Vaccinations (sessional flu)
The successfully applicant will be responsible for providing exceptional and professional health and wellness services to our Nelson clients, they will be employed within a supportive environment working closely with our Nelson team.
Our ideal candidate will have:
•Qualifications and experience working in the field of occupational health or;
•Senior Registered Nurse with experience in a public or private health setting
•A strong clinical background
•A strong desire to practice in the workplace health field
•Excellent interpersonal skills
•Excellent time management skills
•Computer literacy and proficiency with applications
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Great attention to detail
•A friendly non-judgmental attitude
•Able to work independently and have their own vehicle
The successful applicant will be able to work independently, be reliable, honest and punctual, and have a genuine passion for health, education and wellness in the workplace environment (we don't ask for much!).
