Precious People Occupational Health Services have been a locally owned Nelson and Marlborough
Occupational Health business for over 20 years. We are a leading provider of workplace health, safety and
wellness solutions for our region’s workforce, our services cover a broad range of workplace health, safety,
and wellness areas. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated occupational health nurse to be part of our
Nelson team. We are a family-owned business with an office in Nelson and Marlborough. We have a 40-hour
position available to the right person.
The Role: This position will provide the successful applicant with an interesting and varied role that will be
based 100% in the private sector.
The nurse’s key responsibilities include:
• Pre-employment medicals
• Drugs and alcohol testing
• Wellness assessments
• Workplace health monitoring
• Vaccinations(sessional flu)
• Ergonomics
The Person:
The successfully appointed Occupational Health Nurse will be responsible for providing exceptional and
professional health and wellness services to our Nelson clients.
Our ideal candidate will have:
•Qualifications and experience working in the field of occupational health or;
•Senior Registered Nurse with experience in a public or private health setting
•A strong clinical background with management and orsupervisory skills
•A strong desire to practice in the workplace health field
•Excellent interpersonal skills
•Excellent time management skills
•Computer literacy and proficiency with applications
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Great attention to detail
•A friendly non-judgmental attitude
•Able to work independently and have their own vehicle
They will be a part of a small team made up of three RNs and one administration staff, the successful
applicant will be able to work independently, be reliable, honest, and punctual, and have a genuine passion
for health, education and wellness in the workplace environment.
