The Totara tree is symbolic of a great chief, it is also a strong tree that grows for a hundred years. Like the Totara tree, Occupational Health Nursing has been in place for decades and alongside Occupational Health Physicians we have been caring and resilient health professionals, providing guidance and support for workers and their employers.
In line with the overarching theme, the conference programme has been designed with a cultural component recognising that many of our workers include Maori and Pacific Islanders.
This is a multi-disciplinary conference organised by the NZOHNA (Auckland Group) Inc. The content will be of value to nurses, physicians, health and safety leaders, occupational hygiene personnel and other health care professionals with an interest in Occupational Health.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
The NZOHNA Annual General Meeting will occur on Friday, 20 September 2019 (07:30 to 08:30) (at the Forum North Conference Centre, 7 Rust Avenue, Whangarei). Attendance is required for CPD credit.
SOCIAL EVENING DINNER
The social evening event will be hosted on the evening of Thursday, 19 September 2019. Ensure to register for this fun event.
The ticket includes 1x drink vouchers, a delicious dinner and dessert.. The theme is: Celebration in the Ngahere (forest).

The conference will be hosted at Forum North, 7 Rust Avenue, Whangarei. This iconic venue has been the heart of Whangarei's entertainment precinct for more than thirty years and is home to the city's main theatre and exhibition hall.
There are two public entrances into Forum North. The front access is via Rust Avenue, where the Whangarei District Council Customer Service Centre is located and near the Library and the other off the Water Street car park.
Forum North is located on Rust Avenue in the middle of the Whangarei CBD next to the Old Library. Forum North is 2 hours north of Auckland by road or 25 minutes by air and is 10km from the Whangarei Airport.
Paid parking is available directly outside the Forum North venue in the car park, Water Street car park or on surrounding streets including Rust Avenue and Water Street. There is a four-hour parking restriction in place Monday – Friday in the Forum North car park and no time restriction in the Water Street car park. There are six parking spaces allocated for disabled parking.
