As some of you may know WorkSafe is concerned about the quality of work-related health advice provided by health and safety consultants. Especially in the area of exposure monitoring.
WorkSafe is currently meeting with consultants that state they offer exposure monitoring to ensure they have the requisite skills and expertise, and ensure they remain within their competency.

WorkSafe has produced a short documentation which I suggest you circulate to you members. They are pushing the HASANZ Register and where appropriate using a qualified Occupation Hygienist.

Kind regards
Philip Aldridge
Executive Director
Health and Safety Association of NZ (HASANZ)
